Duncan White

Duncan started his career in-house at one of the UK’s leading television production companies and has a particular interest in television and digital media production. He has considerable experience of advising on the development, financing, production and exploitation of cross platform content and is regularly instructed to advise on compliance (Ofcom), business affairs, defamation, breach of confidence, contempt, copyright, trademark, passing off and data protection matters.

Legal 500 recognises Duncan as a ‘Next Generation Partner’ and has described him as a ‘skilled and experienced media lawyer with sound knowledge of the television production industry’, a ‘valued sounding board, offering sage counsel and advice’ and a ‘superb media lawyer’. Tim Jackman

Tim led the then top rated Bond Pearce South West corporate finance team until he joined his media client Twofour Group as its first Director of Legal and Business Affairs.

At Bond Pearce Tim advised ambitious management teams on mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity investment, restructurings, exit plans and a raft of commercial arrangements. Tim was involved in all legal aspects of Twofour’s growth to become a leading TV production company and content and communications agency and was part of the management team which merged the business with Lloyds Development Capital’s existing investment Boom Pictures, before the sale of the enlarged Twofour Group to ITV in 2015.

Legal 500 has commented previously: Very much leading from the front Tim Jackman was hailed in some quarters as ‘by far the best corporate lawyer locally’ and was unanimously held up as ‘a key figure in the region’.

At White Jackman Tim continues to work on a range of corporate transactions. Chambers has commented that an ability to marry ‘technical expertise and a calming presence on a deal’ ensure his standing in the region.
